We moved to Sweet Home and needed a storage unit we wanted a large unit which they did not have. We were then given the option to have two smaller units that would equal the larger unit for the same price as the larger unit and that is what we did. Now they want almost double the money for the two smaller units because the managers before them did not tell us we would be having to move when a larger unit opened up. Why on Earth would anyone want to have to move their stuff into a storage unit and then move from the storage unit into another storage unit? These are crazy days we live in where that could make any kind of sense. Trust me if we were told that at the beginning of this Fiasco we would have found a different storage unit. Beware do not use this storage facility unless you'd like to move your stuff a lot. I believe the woman said there was 12 other people at this facility that are in the same predicament. You just can't make this stuff up. Oh and might I add they do this at Christmas I think Scrooge is in charge of this facility. No heart

When you rent from them they give you one price and a few months later they almost doubled it. It was a special rate at the beginning because they didn't have the larger units so they gave us two smaller units to Total the big one. Now they want us to move to the big one because they can make more money off the smaller ones therefore they will give us no notice at the end of the month to get our stuff out and move it to the larger unit. Oh and here's the catcher the people that are moving out of the larger units won't move until the end of the month then you have to be out by the first of the month or pay for the large unit and the two smaller units almost sounds illegal. Trust me there's reputable people in Sweet Home that are honest please keep looking for another storage facility unless you want to go through the anguish as the others and myself are.
Almost doubled in price

We have had our two storage lockers rented here for almost two and a half years. The price had gone up five or $6 each year which is really nothing. However this year each storage locker went from $51 in December to $90 starting January 1st are you serious? Wow the greed is showing through. Just going to make us finish our storage shed finished quicker. This is a wonderful place and we've enjoyed renting from these folks very friendly and helpful. However in a small town like almost doubling somebody's rate from one month to the next could really do damage to a family. Shame on the greed. I would never refer anyone to this storage place again it is really left a bitter taste in our mouths and a hole in our pockets. I hope they remember God sees everything.
The storage facility was neat and clean and available when we needed it.

For the record, I don't know Eric, the person who left a review on March 24, 2020. Nor am I a customer with The Storage Depot. But your response to him is not correct. You said "We however do not represent that our units are temperature controlled".....if that's the case, then you need to fix your website, because it specifically says "Units are heated and/or cooled" on this page, under "Unit Sizes": It says nothing about the building itself, it specifically says "units". Furthermore, you state this in the "About Us" section of the same page: "Between our 560 climate-controlled storage units..." I'm not sure what people are supposed to think if you put that on your website. That's not on the customer or the public, that's on whomever put such information on this website. So either there was a miscommunication somewhere when this website was made, a miscommunication with management, or you are using deceitful marketing tactics. Not being a customer myself, then I'll reserve judgement on that issue. But I found it very odd that you would make such a reply to Eric when there are two very precise statements on your website saying that units are climate controlled. I just thought I would let you know of this so that you could be aware of what the public sees when we visit your website, and perhaps help you understand why some people may get angry in regards to the contradicting claims. I may be a customer in the future, so naturally I take things like this seriously when doing my research into storage facilities. Thank you very much for your time, and have a great day.

they say their temp controlled ...not... they judge you by looks and talk to u like scum or sketchy if you arnt dressed like ur rich and drive nice car then once they label you they treat u like they dont trust you, and make you feel uncomfortable to even go to ur storage unit!! my friends been through all this with them and they never missed a payment! since the time they opened this business till now and my friends a hard single working mother of 3 that is a good person and to see her treated like this is unfair

We are sad to hear that you felt your friend was not treated in a friendly manner by our management. We however do not represent that our units are temperature controlled - we do have interior space that has a heating system to prevent temperatures from falling below 54 degrees but under no circumstance have we stated our units are temperature controlled. Our managers do patrol the facility as well as who is on site and that is a major responsibility of their job to ensure the safety of the site.

I had rented an RV storage unit from them. When I went to retrieve my vehicle, I told the person in the office I would be taking my RV out. Since it was after the first of the month, I asked about a prorated refund. She assured me one would be forthcoming. After three days I called and asked when I would be receiving my refund. She then told me that since I hadn't given a ten day notice I would not be receiving a refund. That was not mentioned when I rented the unit. I talked to the manager, who was a nice guy, and he told me that was their policy and it was on my copy of the rental agreement. The problem is I didn't receive a copy of the rental agreement. He gave me an email address to send him a letter and he would see what the home office would do. The email address he gave me isn't recognized. Why the office person didn't tell me to wait ten days before I removed my RV to receive even a partial refund is beyond me.

the storage depot is awesome!! they have been great, i live in washington and had to from oregon and leave my stuff there. they have been great with a few issues that have come up since im so far away.. i know that my stuff is safe and im not going to lose it. awesome people to work with i would highly recommend them!!
